What voice uses

Sorsana answers calls with the same approved knowledge, emergency rules, inbox and hand-over controls as text conversations. Sorsana runs the speech side for you; you only bring the number.

Connect a number

Use a Twilio number from your own Twilio account, or a number from any carrier (Vonage, Telnyx, Plivo, Bandwidth or another carrier) through a SIP trunk.

  1. Open Channels › Phone numbers and choose Add phone number.
  2. Enter the number, the building it serves (or any building) and how it is connected.
  3. For Twilio, enter the account SID and auth token. For a SIP trunk, enter your carrier's termination address and credentials, then point the trunk's inbound calls at the Sorsana SIP address shown.
  4. Add the numbers calls may be transferred to.
  5. Check the line shows In sync, then place a test call and confirm the conversation appears in the Inbox.

Troubleshooting

If a line shows Out of sync, read the message next to it, fix the number or telephony details and choose Retry. If a transfer fails, the caller stays with the assistant; check the transfer numbers on the line.
